Date: 8th November 2016
Venue: Grand Connaught Rooms, London
BIOCATNET is hosting a one day event to bring together academic and industrial partners to identify and address key challenges in the area of applications of biocatalyst immobilization.
The workshop is designed for up to 45 participants from academia and industry (attendance is free for network members), featuring providers of enzyme immobilization technologies, academic researchers, technology providers, and potential end users. The event will cover fundamental principles of enzyme immobilization through to the state of the art in order to identify and address key challenges in the application of biocatalyst immobilization.
10.30 – Arrival and refreshments
11.00 – Session 1: Immobilization methods – Presentations will provide an overview on the fundamentals of biocatalyst immobilization and also detail established and novel methods.
12.30 – Lunch and Networking
13.15 – Session 2: Application of Immobilized Enzymes in Biocatalysis – Presentations will include case studies and highlight potential pros and cons of utilisation of immobilized biocatalysts in synthetic processes.
15.45 – Breakout session with refreshments
16.30 – Reconvene/final discussion
